1. How did you met PS?
That was back in 2007. I was 17 then and I saw a video someday on a random funny videos website: it was JapEn 1st renamed as "Pen Spinning Stunts!", the most famous video about PS back then. This video fascinated me and I started searching for more info and tutorials on the web, leading me to Kam's videos and to UPSB.
2. Do you make warming and stretching of your fingers?
Very rarely. I don't think I need them because my fingers are flexible enough, I only need stretching when I'm about to practice fingercrosses. Plus, I spin every day, so my fingers keep fit. However, I do think warming and stretching is important when you're starting to learn or when you want to practice new tricks; I remember my fingers hurting when practicing Sonics for the first time.
3. What is your favourite mod?
Coulomb Mod.
In terms of aesthetics and spinnability, that's my favourite one.
But you see me spinning a KT (I have Dr.m&m to be exact) 99% of the time, that's my second favourite and my main mod.
Third one? Waterfall mod.
4. What do you think about your "Best of 2018" video?
It lacks creativity. I always aim for showing something new and mindblowing, but I don't really take the time to think about new tricks, so my combos have become less original. I hope it's worth the view at least : )
5. Do you like your style, or you want to improve it?
I like my style as it is now, but I also want to be able to spin more smoothly. I also wish to become more technical so I can introduce more complex linkages in my spin.
6. What is your favourite spinner and why?
Fratleym and Bonkura amazed me in my early days for their creativity. I also liked Dongza's speed, and s777 and Stuhl were others I followed.
7. Did you ever met spinners in a real life?
Yes, I've met some spinners from my region and some french ones too in Barcelona. We've had several meetings but we have never been more than 10 people at once. Meetings are important in a community where all you do is via internet.
8. What will be better : pen spinning will become VERY popular, of stays an underground hobby?
I don't think PS will ever become very popular, in fact it's less popular now than it was ten years ago. It's clearly an underground hobby, most people don't even know about its existence. But someday at TV apparition will launch PS to the scenes and it will become something.
9. What is your plans for your future PS career?
Well, you won't see me in any competition (I have been before but I never was a competitive guy), so I'll continue practicing in the shadows. I am not an active spinner right now but I do like to appear in some or other collab, and I make a video every year. I hope I can develop some new concept that will surprise everybody in the future.
10. Do you have thoughts about dropping PS?
No, I don't want to drop it. As I said, I'm not active but I spin a pen every day. I'm admin in the Spanish Community (SPSC) and, though it's not an active community these days, I feel like I have the duty to be there. I don't see me ceasing to watch ps videos or to practice new things.
11. What is your favourite PS video?
FPSB 3rd and S and S 2nd. There are better collabs out there that came later, but those are the ones that marked me the most.
12. Your wishes to PS community
I wish all communities become very active again so we can see a PS growth in both spinners and content. I kinda want PS to become known for everyone, even if that means that we'll have a massive noob influx.
